These terms cover your use of resteasymoving.com and the moving services provided by Rest Easy Moving, a licensed and insured mover based at 1 Page Ave, Suite 200, Asheville, NC 28801. By browsing this site or booking with us, you agree to what’s laid out below. We may revise these terms from time to time, and the current version is the one that applies.
Quotes and estimates
Any price we give before move day is based on the information you provide and, where relevant, an on-site or inventory review. North Carolina law requires a written estimate for household moves, and we issue one. Flat-rate quotes hold to the inventory and conditions we estimated; if the actual job differs materially, such as added items, extra stops, or access we weren’t told about, the price may change, and we’ll talk to you before doing extra work.
Booking, deposits, and cancellation
We hold your date with a $150 deposit that credits back against your balance. If you cancel at the last minute or aren’t ready when the crew arrives, the deposit may be forfeited; reschedule with reasonable notice and it carries to the new date. The remaining balance is due on completion of the move unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.
Liability and coverage
Every shipment includes up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage. The standard protection is released value at sixty cents per pound per article; full-value protection is available for an added charge, and your selection is recorded on your paperwork. We are not responsible for items you pack yourself unless we can show our crew caused the damage, for cash, jewelry, or important documents you should carry with you, or for delays caused by weather, road closures, or events beyond our control.
Your responsibilities and governing law
Please disclose stairs, long carries, parking limits, and any specialty items when you book so we bring the right crew and truck. Someone authorized should be reachable at both ends of the move.
